About eHealth Ohio
eHealth OHIO (formerly OHIO for EDI) is a corporation for charitable and educational purposes, as defined in Section 501(c)(6) of the Internal Revenue Code, for the specific purposes:

To be regional affiliate of the Workgroup for Electronic Data Interchange, Strategic National Implementation Process (WEDI/SNIP) for the State of Ohio.

To act as the collaborative effort of various healthcare industry organizations to develop and implement initiatives related to Health Information Technology.

To focus efforts in the State of Ohio to achieve industry-wide representation, work jointly to provide solutions, policies, and educational outreach, and consistent with and as otherwise permitted by Section 501(c)(6) of the Internal Revenue Code, promote various aspects of incremental healthcare reform including buy not limited to, improvements in the privacy and security of health information, standardization of electronic healthcare records and transactions, and health information exchange.

To facilitate ongoing dialog and cooperation between covered entities and appropriate business associates in Healthcare Information Technology that may result in lowering costs and improving the quality of healthcare delivery.
